I'm posting this link (click on the title above) as my first blog entry. It will take you to a wish list that I've created on Amazon.com with all of the books that I would like to read during my one year in L'arche at Kapiti.
Feel free to check it out. The character of this list is decidedly less academic than I'm used to reading, but after four years of studying Religion and Philosophy, that's probably what I need.
My major interest (both in this year-long journey and this reading list) is to discover a community of faith that actually works, actually plays, actually feels, and actually loves. (cf. Alfred North Whitehead's Real/Actual dialectic from Process and Reality) Basically, it is to dwell in a space whereby God may occour. That is, I seek to be vulnerable to and accept all gifts of the Divine.
